The Sinistrio best likens to the American group Soulive. They have been on the Alberta jazz scene for only a short while, but already they are making waves. Members Jeff Drummond (Guitar) Steve Fletcher (Organ) and Jon May (Drums) together make artful music based around the organ - something that is not very common in the music scene in Alberta or in Canada. Their music can be categorized as jazz, groove, pop, latin, and soul - mixing each of these styles together into a sound one won’t soon forget.

The Sinistrio has played to enthusiastic crowds and is being received with open arms. They were recently a part of the Calgary “Re-Birth of the Cool” Jazz Festival (2007) and C-Jazz Festival (2007). They have also recorded their debut album that is being released in 2008. The Sinistrio will be performing original compositions as well as arrangements of jazz standards and pop music all with a twist that only this group can deliver.
